I don't know what the city's going to do with the old sirens at all. I believe ANS simply bid on installation of new sirens, not removal of old ones.

Does anyone know what this is? It was installed several weeks ago to the west of New Haven on New Haven Road.

What ever it is, it definitely isn't a siren.

One of those was installed in the grass near parking lot at the Kroger store where I work. One day there was a Green Township Police Officer shopping in the store and I asked him what the pole was for and he said that it was for the Cincinnati Bell Fiber-optic service. Sure enough two days later, there was a Cincinnati Bell van and a Cincinnati Bell cherry picker working on the pole.

I hadn't noticed any of those around me, but there had been Cincinnati Bell crews working on installing that service in my neighborhood for several days.

Thanks. I had my doubts that it was some type of siren.

I would say, "Screw the weather, I'm recording!"
I honestly despise my username. However, thanks to the Siren Board, I can't change it.

I wasn't able to get a picture of it, but I went by the T-128 on Blue Rock St. in Northside on Wednesday night, and the control boxes had been vandalized with black paint! You've really gotta worry about anything happening to sirens when they are in a rough part of town. The Thunderbolt that used to be on an abandoned building at Spring Grove Ave & Arlington St got stolen supposedly, and there has been a lot of graffiti in that area, making it seem like some graffiti artists might have stolen it after it went off one time.
