The HurriBolt was the first siren I drew with a name. It's basically a cross of an ACA Hurricane and a FS Thunderbolt. The siren was inspired by Blastmaster's (Blasty) ThunderCane siren which has only one throat and a round horn. Most of my other sirens just have model numbers or names similar to the original siren they were copied or based upon like the Eclipse 1402T and 1403T

Some of my other sirens I made up include:

Fury-A small siren based on the Model 2

Twister-A 3.5 hp siren with the motor on the bottom and a cone shaped rotor and stator assembly. It was based on a Decot that was on a video from Wisconsin Sirens. It got it's name from the fact it resembled a Tornado.

QuadroBolt-A Thunderbolt with 4 separate choppers stacked feeding 4 horns facing in the same direction and feeding into one large shroud. Look at a Whelen WPS-3004 or an Allertronic 6000 and you'll figure it out.
Rated 128db at 100'

Octabolt-Similar to above but with 8 horns and choppers and four blowers totaling 20 horsepower. Rated 136db @ 100'. First drawing shows it with two blowers powered off one motor.

TriForce-Thunderbolt with three horns facing different directions comming out at the 6:00, 10:00, and 2:00 position when viewed from above with the chopper in the center. Refer to the radiation symbol for an idea. http://www.civildefensemuseum.com/signs/fsradsym3.jpg

If that wasn't crazy enough, the whole thing also rotates at 10RPMs while sounding.

OmniBolt-An Eclipse style siren with 6 horns and a blower. Named for being a cross between a T-bolt and a omnidirectional siren (SD-10)

ThunderHorn-The first "bigger than normal" siren I though of. It has a tower and head similar to the German HLS but there are also large 6'X6' square mouthed horns extending out from the head. All on top of a 60 to 130 foot tall colume

There's also an equipment building at the base of the siren which houses the controller, motor starters, and two 39hp scroll compressors that feed air to the chopper.

I rated it at 140db in a 100' radius from the siren. You probably don't want to hear (or see) this thing.


ELERT-A name I made up for a series of electronic sirens. Currently have a 6 speaker (200 watt drivers each) model resembeling the Siratone 612 but with rectangular horns, an 8 speaker (200 watts each) model resembling an 816, an an 8 speaker (400 watts each) model resmbling a Whelen 2000 series.
Comming soon is a 16 speaker (400 watts each) model which will look like two of the 8 speaker 400 watt models side by side.

ELERT OmniDisc-A series of omnidirectional electronic sirens. Currently have a 4, 6, and 8 cell models with a pair of 200 watt drivers in each cell fireing from the top and bottom into the middle. Each cell resembles a flatten SD-10

ThunderVoice Electronic Siren Controller (ESC)
Basically a controller for my directional electronic sirens. It uses the DPS technology FS uses on their eQ2b vehicular siren but in this case, it reproduces a very accurate Thunderbolt 1003 sound.



ThunderWail ESC
Another electronic siren controller but for my ELERT OmniDisc sirens. Reproduces a 3T22 sound.

ThunderTrol
Microprocessor based timer/controller for solenoid equipped dual tone sirens. Does the standard Alert, Attack, and Hi-Lo signals but can also do Pulsed signals (opens and closes both solenoids at the same time) and a whoop signal (open both solenoides, wind chopper up, shut chopper motor off, close solenoides, let chopper wind down slightly with solenoides closed, repeat cycle.) Think of attack or fast wail with the solenoides closed only on the windown.

Designed for the HurriBolt and the Eclipse 1403T but can also be used to give the Thunderbolt 1003T and 3T22 a new set of tones.


Finally, I drew a siren for someone on the old board who had the though of mounting 110 Whelen WPS 3008s as a 10X11 array then having the array on rotating assembly on 165 foot tall tower in a central location. I just named it the GIANT speaker array.
