Drive-By Siren Test Video

Tue May 05, 2009 4:44 pm

Not what I wanted to do, but I arrived late and had limited time so I got creative and tried to get as many sirens as I could in the time I had. Enjoy!

Note: Video will take a little bit for YouTube to process so if it doesn't work right away, try again in an hour or so.

Sweet video! It's not so much that XT22's are loud, its that up close they sound very harsh. The noise is more "grindy" than it is when you hear one off in the distance.

Nice video! Ive been thinking about doing something like this. I would start out near one of our STL-10s, drive down by the 500AT, and then head over toward a 2001 and then a 2t22. Shawnee County's actual test time varies from 45 seconds to the full 3 minutes, so if it would work is a mystery.

Me too! In both the south and east ends of Louisville, I could get at least 2, maybe 3 TBolts sounding at different pitches, and if I'm in the east end, I could maybe get an xT22 in there as well. I would just have to find someone to drive me around while the sirens are sounding.

That's cool!!! I love how the sound bends as you approach and drive away from each siren 8)
