I keep on forgetting to post about this, but it seems that the Thunderbolt on top of the Anderson Twp. Fire Dept. has finally bit the dust, or the rotater is broken; it's been facing south east for several months now.

I’m sort of wondering the same thing about the 1000 on the Spring Grove Village fire station. It seems to have been pointed southwest for the past few months. But I might end up changing my mind in a few weeks, depending on February’s test.

I thought the Spring Grove Village siren (Circle Ave) has been decommissioned. Is that the one you are talking about

Yes. It had still been active for a while though.

Central Pkwy/Linn T128 accident

Well today at about 10:30 I got a text from my Uncle who works at Engine Co 29, He told me a car had crashed into the tornado siren at Central Parkway and Linn Street. He asked me if I knew who to contact and I told him that I did and would leave a message. He said the batteries were laying in the middle of Linn Street and by the time they arrived the car had fled the scene. After messaging SIRENMAN I drove my truck down to take a look and get some photographs. It's not pretty. It appears that a car traveling NW on Central avenue didn't turn where the road bends and hit the pole dead on behind the controls. The battery box was opened with batteries and cables hanging out, as well as a few batteries laying on the ground. The Pole is now leaning to the west and the Pole mount has been bent significantly. Unsure on if the head is usable but its visibly angled downward now. This is the second time within a year that this particular location has been hit by a car. I'm sure we will find out the fate of the unit fairly soon, and with Test Day being in three days, I'd imagine something will happen.

What's with our T-128's attracting cars?

That’s a dangerous location if this is the second time it has been hit! They really need to consider moving it.
