I believe that's a Darley 2V8. If it isn't, it's at least in that family.

Definitely a Sterling 2V8, been by it many times.. it used to be mounted on a building across the street, was moved as seen to the back of the firehouse and is now pole mounted next to the firehouse... Strinestown Fire Department in Pa

I believe the siren mentioned is actually a Sterling 3v8, here is an image of a 2v8 in Fairmount, GA. The 3v8 is a bit more powerful, has a larger rotor and has a housing with louvers that somewhat resemble those of a Fedelcode.

100% Darley 3V8.

Found this at the Bainbridge VFD in Bainbridge/Mt. Wolf, PA. Looks as if it were a model 2 with a extra louvers, but I cannot tell.

Funny story here as well, Bainbridge used to have an STH-10... it went belly up after getting hit by lightning and running for 10 minutes creating the magic blue smoke. It was replaced by that Model 2 but they took the head of the STH-10 off and mounted the Model 2 on the intake assembly, that extra louvre is the round part of the intake

I feel almost like it's an M-10, but I can't confirm because I haven't heard it.

That would be a Sterling Y-10, the sterling that had coded dampers installed on it. You can tell by the Y shape brackets on the front of that intake. (Don't know if that's where it got it's name or not)

Coded dampers? Surely you mean the brake mechanism. You'd need really long intakes to have dampers on them. I've only known Sterling Y-10s to have brakes on them, and I'm pretty sure that's the only configuration it was in.
