Thanks for editing the title. The other one of these in Manitou is mothballed as far as I can tell. There used to be over 30 of these sirens in El Paso county. Palmer Lake, Manitou Springs, and Calhan are the last three left. They are quite rare from what I gather. And this is the FIRST of its kind on Youtube!

The very *last* thing I expected that to sound like was a P-50/T-135. And its so fascinating how you get the impact of one tone, and then the other as it rotates. Its quite the attention getting machine.

Needless to say, djscrizzle, excellent excellent work, and thank you so much for this!

Woah. That's an AWESOME siren! :D Thanks for recording. Didn;t know it was 8/12 port. Hehe. This must be the only kind of rotating 8/12 siren that Federal made, right? :)

Overlay the two siren's sounds and well... They sound EXACTLY the same! how odd!

Could it be an ASC product instead?! I'm totally back to square one as to identifying this siren...

BTW: I'm using this video as my comparison.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG-SWaU2RJU
Its the Germantown, TN ASC T-135

This is simply awesome! A rotating, dual tone siren that has one tone on each end. It seems a much more effective design than the usual unidirectional rotating type. I didn't know that Federal made any 8/12 sirens.

Awsome! Awsome! Relly been looking forward to a recording of it! This siren has a very spooky wind-down. It appears to have a T-bolt rotator. I would like to see the spec's plate on it.

Oh my god I'd love to own one of these, it's like a miniature T-135. Great video and thanks for sharing. :)

Man, I wish Topeka had some of these! One of those along side with the 500ATs we have would sound real scary.

Awesome video!!
