Apparently someone appreciated the old Sirex enough to put it on a structure built for a form of personal communication that was only a dream at the time it was manufactured

Saw this 2001-SRNB in Albemarle, NC, I thought is was a bit weird for a 2001 to be mounted like this.

I'm guessing that the previous siren used the same tower, and the siren's owner just re-used it. I've never seen a 2001 mounted like that before - neat find!

Substation/Bosai Musen in Yuza Town, Yamagata. Mounted on the truss tower and is paired with a Seikosha SPF siren. This town has a lot of these scattered around.

Good catch - that is an interesting way to mount a 2001 from the start. I wonder if they had other plans to consider a siren mount like that...

This Model 2 in Minneapolis takes the cake, IMO. It's mounted on the side of the building, which is something you certainly don't see every day.
