I've never heard someone call a siren "Half Replaced" but I like it.

Why did they do this to the poor EOWS 612. Couldn't they have just hooked the thing up to an ultravoice?

If this is the one located in Lahaina, the rotator was busted. Fixing the rotator would be cheaper than a new siren, but I'm guessing the siren was on its last legs anyway.

It was running on a newer Federal controller as of 2019 when I went down there to visit.

Interesting that they didn't even bother removing the head, though I suppose why bother if you can just stick some DSAs on the pole & be done with it.

Looks like there’s nothing stopping me from taking this one!
Wait… I live in Georgia…
In all seriousness, this is very interesting. I’d wonder if any Hawaiian enthusiast (granted, if they have the space) would take it (of course, if EMA would let them).

I tried to get the Maunuala bay (sorry if I butchered the spelling) I-Force and they said that the EMA has a closely followed protocol and they unfortunately cannot sell components or units to the public.

Who knows, maybe ask someone else and you might get a different answer.

Probably just knowing the right people might be the trick. My AR timer was from Honolulu, and the person I bought it from somehow got it from the EMA. Be professional, say your intentions, and offer cash usually works. Thats how I got my Thunderbolt RCMs.
