Got one of the panels off and the other bent so I can look inside. Enjoy the first ever views of what motor it has and what i assume is the gearbox/chasepot dampener that allows its unique up and down mechanism to work.

Very very soon it'll be moved. This thing is not as big of a monster as i thought for weight. The access doors were super corroded so don't feel bad for me destroying them for this and it'll make movement easier. They all need a replacement.

See also i believe this things original color is visible. A brownish orange vs an expected bright red. I think one of the old advertisements has this color (on my pc which I'm not at). The interior access panel also has this same color. It's pretty universal on it if you look close but hard to see on my cheap phone.

Found that picture i was referencing. I don't have a bigger form sadly but you can see the similarity of the orange-brownish color and the one in the picture. I'll see if i can find that for my restoration but i'll probably have to do red due to availability. But please if anyone can figure out a good way to get a tough paint like that i'd love to know. This restoration is just as much the work of others as it is for me.

I retract my statement, it's red paint i spoke too soon and we took off an access door and there we are. We cut branches and made a path and we have it packaged ready for transport tomorrow when everyone arrives!

It looks like the motor is 3 phase, so you will need proper machinery to get the motor running, if it even does!

Correct it is. 220v, 3 phase, 5hp, 17 amps. It'll probably need replacing and I'll probably go with normal 220 and high amp cabling due to how hard three phase is to find, but if it works I'll definitely keep it original.

It's home! Good lord this thing was heavy. We had some old pipes that were thrown away by the station years ago and without them I don't think we could of done this. It was pressure washed at home and tomorrow it's being unloaded to it's restoration place. Not enough pics as was too busy trying to move the thing. It ways aton for something so skeletal.

The rain shield was crushed while moving we had no other options However, the metal was so compromised it needs to be remade entirely and I have a good 50% that's still in good shape to get measurements from.

The serial plate is lost to time unfortunately. I might need to visit Arizona or Nevada and ask them to take a picture of it to recreate it.
