whelen WS controller (used on WS-2000 and WS-3000) : alert pitch is selectable, attack/fast wail peak at ~750 HZ. used Pre-1987
Whelen analog ESC-864 - alert pitch is selectable (I think), don't remember what attack/fast wail peak at. used from 1987 to 1995
Whelen digital ESC-864 - 465 HZ. 1995 to 2003 i think
whelen ESC-2020 - buggy, originally shipped with either 460 hz or 560, drifts to 435 or 530 when silent tested. 2003 to 2008
Whelen ESC-2030 - 560 HZ standard, I believe can be programmed lower or higher. 2008 to present

You’ve got it mostly right aside from a few Hz. The ESC-2020 originally shipped with 450Hz, however after a silent test or even upon installation it would set itself at 435Hz. A revision was made later in its life to correct it to 560Hz, however some would drift down to 530Hz, and some came like that or are permanently stuck there.

Does anybody know what the pitch the SONGS model 120 is? As it’s kind of hard to tell because you’ve got both overtones and undertones, plus on duderocks5353’s YouTube channel, the model 120 he filmed with the makeshift blower sounds like it has a similar frequency to a sentry 3v8 Which would create a minor third with a federal signal STL – 10
Cheers and happy noisemaking!
