that either said 1-way or 2-way  . What does 1-way or 2-way mean? :?:

I saw that Oakland County list also.
I thought it was for the difference between mechcanical and electronic.
But I was told by West Shores Services.

One way can only receive radio signals
Two way can send and receive radio signals

Also on that list the one way in ferndale is no longer there.
One in rochester(not hills) I couldn't find. but the other two "One ways" I found it the Thunderbolt at 12 and John R. and the Thunderbolt at 9 mile and Coolidge. The one ways out in the North end of Oakland county I haven't looked for yet.

Thanks! Also If you look at The Bottom, the reason that siren in ferndale is no longer there is because that list was LAST updated on 1/22/07.

I know, I was talking to a Police Officer from Ferndale PD, and he said that, that one has been gone for at least 4-5 years(he thinks) SO if he is correct, why would Oakland County still list it's location? Weird. I would figure that they need one over there because of the rail yard. unless the 2001 just north west of there is loud enough?
I will be at the 9 and coolidge t-bolt tomarrow for a video taping.

This is entirely dependant on what controller is used.

To put it in context, one-way controllers are only capable of receiving an activation order and to act upon it without back-answering the control centre.

Two-way controllers, however, can talk back to the control centre with information like: "siren malfunction" or "siren activated". This helps diagnose potential (and actual) problems from one central location.

Think of two-way like that of Microsoft's Error Reporting system.

I'm going to the Thunderbolt on Hicory Ridge but I think that might have been replaced.

One siren that I want to get a photo of in Oakland County, is the SD-10 that is located under the old water tower in Holly. I can remember when the village repainted their old water tower green in the late 1980s, they also painted the SD-10 the same color. Hopefully, the water tower and siren are still there?

In addition, they maybe a Sterling unit at the bottom of the water tower by the Holly Fire Dept.

And all the sirens in north western Oakland County are 2001's. I didn't see a single T-Bolt. The only two left in Oakland County are Madison Heights and Oak Park

Whatever it is, I really like the green color of the SD10 and Sterling M.
