Lexington, KY Sirens?

Wed Oct 31, 2007 8:23 pm

Hey guys do any of you know what type of sirens Lexington, Kentucky have?

Also curious about Jackson, Tn. I know they have them. I just don't know what type.

Try going to THE SIREN ARCHIVE at http://www.jmarcoz.com/sirens/sirenarchive.htm. and go to Kentucky and Tennesee, and see if they have those cities listed with pictures and/or videos and sounds

Lexington has a system of Modulators around the city, most of the ones I have seen are 4 cell Modulators and are at parks and city facilites. Scott County (which is right outside of Lexington) has 2001's and some T-bolts still up.

Lexington finally got rid of their Whelen WS-2016s? Wow.

They had one of them at every fire station back when I lived there

Now that I think about it, I also remember seeing a Thunderbolt at the high school in Frankfort. Wonder if that siren is still there or not.
"Highland Village to Chief 480..Are the sirens going off? We're not sure if we set them off right or not."
