25 H.P. ACA Banshee

Mon Oct 29, 2007 7:26 pm

This weekend, I found an old ACA marketing package that was sent to me around 17-18 years ago. In this package is information about their 10, 15, and 25 H.P. Banshee sirens. Apparently, at this time, the AC Banshee was upgraded from 10 to 15 H.P., which made it more powerful. Whereas, the 10 H.P. version was used as part of ACA's "Performance Plus" DC line.

I wonder how many 25 H.P. dual or single tone Banshees are floating around today?

Jefferson County, Kansas has a ton of Banshees. My hometown has 1 Dual tone banshee. How can you tell what H.P. it is?

That is a good question? Maybe the information is contained on the builder's plate that is attached to the siren? Moreover, I would have to believe that the higher the horsepower, the larger the siren motor?
