New sirens being installed in Killeen, Tx

Thu Oct 04, 2007 4:47 pm

Just picked up the local paper here this morning and see that the City of Killeen,Tx is installing 21 sirens. these will replace the previous 2t22's that went belly up a few years ago. the sirens are federal 2001's. at least that is what the picture in the paper showed next to an old 2t22. they are also installing voice capable sirens near stadiums and parks. my guess is those will be modulators. now if i can just talk my hometown into getting them now it would be great. all communities around us have them, including Ft Hood which installed 37 mods late last year. anyway, thought everyone might be interested. take care everyone. enjoy the new pics and vids every week.
