That chrysler is on top of a big hill so the low mounting is justified in my opinion.

Between Glendale and lacanada Flintridge it’s up on top of a huge hill near sugar loaf drive. Every time I drive through there I try to find it but alas, she’s a little pin hidden in a huge hill...

Not the lowest in the world, but I think this Old Fedelcode Model 5/7 in Erin, New York deserves a mention. Note the Whelen next to it which has replaced it. Sorry for the really long URL, it wouldn’t work for me with the URL shortened: https://www.google.com/maps/place/1469+ ... 960a374f50

That's a Model 2, but I would agree that it is relatively low. Nice find!

Looks about the size of a model 2, but I only see 2 louvers on it.

Believe it or not it is actually a Sterling 2V8 with a Model 2 shroud jammed over the rotor, I gave it a hard look when I visited and was quite amused (as I always am when I see this type of fire department ingenuity)

How is that a 2v8? I have a hard time believing that’s a 2v8.
