Yep, it is a Model B. I've been there when it went off for a fire. It was very loud.

I found yet another low mounted Type B siren and also a low mounted Thunderbolt! Both sirens are in Arthur, Nebraska:

I saw a XT22 that was pretty low here in cottorato (Colorado... cute nickname right?) but unfortunately since I am driving a big rig it wouldn't have been safe to photograph it. It's on I76.
