Whitby, Ontario Fedelcode Model 20

Sat Oct 19, 2019 6:43 pm

I was searching for sirens and I came across this old fire headquarters and would like to know if this is a Fedelcode Model 20.

Thanks, it may be the only one in Ontario Canada the fire headquarters was built in 1965 it may be getting torn down soon due to a condo being built.

I found more information and it isn't pretty :-C, unfortunately, they tore down the fire hall but I am waiting back to hear if they saved the siren or not.
it might have been destroyed along with the fire hall.

I will post an update when I hear back.

I've know about this siren for a long time and also tried to acquire it. Even before the condo the city wanted to keep the siren. Once I heard about the condo I called around again but the city called dibs on it. I assume they did take it down before the demolition but I'm interested in what they have to say.

Wow and now if you look at the street view before it was demolished it has modified spaceship-like discs. Also, do you know anything about the STH-10 at the Orangeville, ON Fire Department?

I don't know what happened to the Orangeville STH-10 but I see its been removed. I'd give the fire chief a call and ask him!

Update to the STH-10B in Orangeville, ON So it turns out they might have discarded it but the firefighter I talked to isn't 100% sure but it was removed due to roof repairs and a decision was made to not reinstall it so the STH-10 remains missing.
