Found another mountain siren

Sat Aug 25, 2007 12:12 am

After a failed attempt at recording a Ruidoso siren, I found a T-bolt in Cloudcroft, New Mexico a couple of days ago, and wow, it looks very well taken care of (must have just been restored). So that adds one more siren that I know of in New Mexico.

Wow. What a nice shade of green to blend in with the trees. :D

Looks cool in green but doesn't look like something that would warn of danger. I seen they didnt paint the bottom of the rotator box or the tube going from the blower to the box. Nice Pics!

Thanks. :)

Yeah, I have a feeling the whole reason it is green is to blend in, because the town itself is a new "old fashioned western" town.

Yes, about as low as typical UK Sirens.

It looks to me like its on a hill, so maybe it doesn't need to be mounted as high as it normally would be.
