Very sweet. The combined spin-downs of the sirens farther off almost sounded melodic.

Do you know whether the last one to wind down is a Model 2?

Initially I thought it to be one of those higher-pitched T-128's; but IIRC after looking at a map of your county, you don't have those(???)

Gonna listen once more......

There are no T-128s or Model 2s in topeka, Topeka has the following sirens.
9 Thunderbolts (non-1003)
4 Thunderbeams
3 Model 5s
4 STL-10s
4 2t22s
2 500ATs
13 2001s

The last wind down sounds downright creepy! I love it! :D

Given those options, the one I questioned (i.e. had a c-sharp tone to it and a quick spin-down) might be one of your T-Bolts. I rule out a 2T22 because it didn't sound dual-toned and its downspin is very slow.

Incidentally, I heard the other of your county test vids, and that one, as the one here, features one siren sounding a *deep* F-major-like note (T-Bolt most likely).

Somewhere in mid-recording, it seemed (to my ears) to simply crap out, as it sounded like an abnormally ultra-quick downspin. This is absent in the recording offered in the thread discussed here.

Am I right in thinking that there may have been a malfunction somewhere?

Those are some of the best harmonics I've heard of a siren-system.

And the dog in your front yard was most cooperative when told to "Shut it!".

I hate this city and neighborhood and i want to move..the only problem is i wouldnt hear that nice sound of all dem sirens. I hear like 1 tbolt, 2 2001s, a model 5 and about 2-3 unknown sirens.
