Illinois folks.

Does Illinois have a first of the month test? If so what time and day?
I will be in Aurora and North Aurora this firday, sat, and sun.
I will be checking a few places for sirens and Fallout shelter signs probably friday.

Illinois has a statewide test the first Tuesday of each month at 10 am.

Bingo! the next test August 7th.

Its good that the entire state tests monthly at the same time. That way all of the towns's sirens are in sync and no one is confused whether its a test or an emergency.

If you want me to give you any siren locations in Aurora I know exactly where three are located. I think they have all P-50s there.

I saw a bunch of Federal signal newer type ones around. But did find one that is super big. It's on Indian trial just past Randell road.

I know the one you're talking about. I used to live about 1/4 of a mile from there.
