Huntington Beach T-128 pictures

Sat Jul 28, 2007 7:32 pm

My church's youth group was having a get-together in Huntington State Beach on Friday so along the way, I decided to take a few pictures of their new T-128s (which replaced their old Thunderbolt system)

What happened to their Thunderbolts? Were they dual toned?

Tsunami warning sirens?
I used to date Kazumi Tsunami!

Hate to ask: Is the new siren louder than the Thunderbolt?
How about tone frequency?

Since the new siren is a T-128, it is louder than a Thunderbolt siren, by around three Decibels.

Great pictures, nonetheless, especially of the logo!

I'm glad to see they replaced them with mechanical sirens.

Test of Sirens Huntington Bch.

Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:47 am

I guess these A. S. C. sirens are set to sound Friday at Noon
Aug 3rd ? , I was on top of Signal hill in June and did NOT here any
Sirens , [ even waited until 10:14 Am ]
that just over 7 miles but you could here a T-bolt
sometimes even farther into North Long Beach , the Problem ,
of Course, H. B. F. D . was only testing for Five Seconds .

Any one go down for the July test , were they sounding and
for how long :?:

At least its nice for ACA American to get a contract , after all
what did they ever get big in So. Calif ? Like Eight Duo Tone
Screamers in Long Beach in or around 1954 ?
Two in Hawthorne , two in El Segundo , & two in Montebello ( 1970 )
plus not to forgotton Culver City Alerters .
