A friend of mine has obtained access to the old archives of The Plain Dealer via a Cuyahoga County Public Library membership.
I cannot say when that will actually happen, but I'm hoping to get several more photos from Historical Societies and local school districts of old buildings.
We do have many locations that have been confirmed. The City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County operated a separate CD system but it was activated by the same point in downtown Cleveland.
All the sirens were Thunderbolt type 1000's purchased between 1952-1953 and installed between November 1952-1954; and Model 7 type 7 HP single tone omni-directional units. By the height of the system, the total number of units in Cleveland & Cuyahoga County was 137.
