The Siren Board

Alpena, Michigan maintains a system of sirens. It consists of 3 ASC T-128s (quite a rarity up here) and 5 2001-130s. One of the 2001-130s replaced a Model 5. Someone on the statewide map team found four more and added them to the map. Kudos to whoever did that (assuming they see this post), now I have something to look forward to filming soon!

Also, what kind of scanner would people recommend? I'm in the market.

I've been up to Alpena a couple of times. I got a picture of a couple of their T-128s while I was there back in 2013:

This T-128 is at Mc Rae Park in the northern part of town: This T-128 here is behind an Alpena City Maintenance building on W. Campbell Street: There are definitely more sirens up there, but these are the only ones I remember seeing.

i never had any idea that they were running on Federal boxes. Either they replaced them with the 2001-130s being installed, or from the start they had FS products or wanted FS.

It's because the county also has about 8 2001-130s iirc. They're in Spencer's statewide map.
Edit: I didn't see that you already saw that. I found them and added them last week.
As for radios go, Uniden BC-125AT is Great along with the 75XLT.
