Which do you prefer?

Which dual tone chopper do you prefer for the Thunderbolt series? Your choices are 4/5 port from the model 2t, or 5/6 port designed exclusively for the Thunderbolt. It is kind of hard for me to decide between the two! The 4/5 port produces a lower pitch which is more likely to penetrate better than the 5/6 port. The 5/6 port makes the Thunderbolt sound mighty, powerful, and MEAN! Any dual tone thunderbolt sounds mean to get your attention! In case you're wondering, I prefer the 5/6 port rotor, as I prefer the minor 3rd.

I would prefer the 4/5, because not only does a lower pitch sound penetrate better, it also sounds better. I don't really care for high pitched sirens.

I prefer the minor third of the 5/6. Remember that you can set the chopper to any speed, and the 4/5 is only slightly lower than the 5/6.

5/6, it sounds evil! But not as evil as a straight 5-port!

Brea has a straight 5 port REALLY evil sounding (I've only heard it once for about 5 seconds) But I also like the 5/6.

There are two single-tone Thunderbolts I know of in Wichita: one at Wichita Area Technical College and another atop the AT&T building.

5/6
5/6 produces a minor third which sounds more ominous than the 4/5 major third

Also the minor third creates a lower resultant than the major third.
Major third's resultant is two octaves below the lower tone. Example: C4 + E4 = C2
Minor third's resultant is two octaves and a fifth below the upper tone
Example: C4 + Eb4 = Ab1 (Produces an Ab-C-Eb major chord!)
