Finally got this thing going off after Independence changed their testing policy and no longer tests monthly year round; they now only test on and following the SWA Tornado Drill in March every year, and they test for 1 minute of alert immediately followed by 1 minute of attack. This siren was installed in 1952 and was a part of the once huge network of sirens in the Cuyahoga County Civil Defense system that once encompassed 200 sirens or so throughout the City of Cleveland and the surrounding communities in the county. The rotator on this one does not work just like the one at the service center. Independence and Cuyahoga Heights are the only communities to have sirens from the old CD system and have ones that are operational.

This one was way louder and a lot healthier sounding than the one at the service center, and it was refurbished and repainted a couple years ago or so. It has an A1 (6M) blower just like the one at the service center and the blower and RCM panels are also mounted inside the building, just like the service center Thunderbolt.

Anyways, here's the video and I hope you enjoy!
