I'd recommend you actually write something instead of using 2 letters on a new topic. Anyways here is a picture of my hand next to a 6024B (Mod II). Either though the cells are skinnier then the original 6024, you could probably imagine how big the original Modulator would be.

Someone has a picture of a worker next to one on a water tower. Whoever it is, please feel free to post the pic I’m referring to. I seem to have lost it.

I know this isn't it but it still gives you a good sense of scale. The old 6024/32/48s were enormous.

I wish the green paint would keep that luster! Was on the Big Island last week and noticed some II's that were already starting to fade a bit. Other than the 2001 at Hapuna, I don't think any mechanicals are left on Hawaii. I noticed that they have completed the upgrade on all the EOWS.

As far as actual measurements go the original 6024/32/48 was 44.5" by 146.1" and the 8032 is 35" by 124".

I'm pretty sure they're painted like that so the effects of the weathering on the metal aren't as obvious, since it's not so easy to tell with a darker color. It also could be so they blend in easier to the surroundings and aren't as "obvious" to spot or something...more aesthetically pleasing.
