The 9/12 dual tone and 5 or 8 port single tone models used a 10hp 3 phase 9-lead motor or a 10hp single phase repulsion-induction motor. The 3 phase motor drew 28 amps at 240v and 14 amps at 480v. The single phase motor drew 56 amps depending on the brush angle. The 10/12 500 is a bit of a mystery, as the rotor/stator was substantially bigger than the 9/12 port or 5/8 port single tone models. From what I understand it had a 15hp 3 phase motor which probably drew around 42-45 amps. I don’t know if the 10/12 version was available as a single phase model.
