Recorded on September 9, 2017. This is a weekly fire/emergency warning siren test of the Newberry County fire/emergency warning siren system. This siren is tested every Saturday at 12:00 PM ET. This siren replaced a 2001-DC that was directly struck by lightning and can't be repaired. This siren was installed on August 16, 2017 by Kinard Control Systems INC. The old 2001-DC is with the Kinard Control Systems INC (Newberry County) and is using the 2001-DC for parts for current 2001-DCs in the county. The old radio, controller itself, and other siren electrical cabinets were all replaced with new ones.
This siren is located at 149 Seibert Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127 (34.1371436,-81.4691943 or 866W4GPJ+V8).
