Neat Siren Find In Montgomery Alabama

Thu Jul 05, 2007 9:54 pm

I found a thunderbeam on ann st. next to the wendys, it is next to a vortex, of course the thunderbeam is not used anymore, but it still has power going to it, it would be neat to turn the switch on and hear it go off on test day!, I also found a thunderbolt on Carmichael Rd, next to waffle house, wow! I will post pix soon

Not sad. At least they still have potential.
If I lived there, I'd offer my time to clean and lubricate them and get them into working condition.
Then test them at test time.

I think it's sad because most are in perfectly good condition and they're just sitting there next to the new whelens when they could give them to other communities that could use them.

Hm, kind of off-topic but there are three people that live in alabama here including me. o_O

There is a Thunderbolt in downtown Birmingham also, along with about 7 others I know of in Jefferson County.

Warner Robins, GA has two thunderbeams and a SD-10, none of which work. The thunderbeams don't look all that old though, puzzles me why they don't fix them.

Thats Sounds Just Like Montgomery, There was nothing wrong with any of the thunderbolts or thunderbeams we had, in fact the whelens use the thunderbolt sound!!, they should have just but a generator on the thunderbolts and thunderbeams (instead of going to battery powered whelens.) , I realy miss the thunderbolts.

what is this karma thing? and what could I have done to get a -1?
