Went to a Gladwin County SRNB for the statewide tornado drill. First time hearing a 2001 and it was awesome to say the least.

Did it shake the ground when it pointed at you?

Maybe not quite that loud, but it was still an impressive screech!

Cool cool! We have 2 on a coastal town here in Oregon. I thought it was pretty screechy but maybe not ground shaking screechy... the single tone bolt however... XD

Yea the 1000s are a little bit louder (maybe not enough for the human ear to catch...) but they are pretty potent. (Sorry if I am derailing your topic here...) I was able to hear a 1000 up close for the first time in a long time and at first it didn't seem that bad... but they are a lot more directional than 2001s so when it pointed at me, everything was shaking...
