At Braidwood, IL;

I was just there a couple days ago and they have lots of Whelen 3016's near the town of Braidwood. I don't know if they are part of an old system or an active one.

Very cool 8)

This thread just solved a ancient mystery from my past. I always wondered what the old system of sirens was at the Crystal River plant in Florida before they got their current system of Whelens.

Now I know. Sentries!
"Highland Village to Chief 480..Are the sirens going off? We're not sure if we set them off right or not." :lol:

I know Monticello used to have T-1000 Thunderbolts, and they switched over to 2001's about 2-3 years ago.

San Onofre Nuclear , Siren System

Tue Sep 11, 2007 10:15 pm

San Clemente and parts of Dana Point Had some Federal STL-10
Sirens in the old Siren System . I saw at least six to eight of
them many years ago, one of them was also south of the plant
also in addition to the Thunderbolt at the
north end of the plant one T-bolt was on the east side of the freeway
overlooking San Clemente enclosed on three sides by its own chain
link fence that was put next to the standard caltrans freeway fence.
This T-bolt was removed and replaced by a Toshbia
about 18 to twenty years ago :?:

One question - How exactly do we know that these sirens are made by Toshiba?
