Article Principle of Sirene - with Sound Examples

Hi there
I just would like to introduce myself: I'm Guido, I'm a field recordist and sound designer from switzerland. Because Siren are an often used element in movies, I decided to write an article about sirens. Then I have realized that most of the people don't know how the characteristic wailing sounds is produced. So I wrote an article about the principles of alarm sirens with some sound examples to playback. Also some original historic sounds from the air raid in London in 1944 can be found.
I hope, the information in my article are correct, I know you are the experts. Also I'm happy to find this forum with some great resources for sirens.
