Another TMI question

Thu Jun 21, 2007 3:27 am

I'm curious to know if anyone else here besides me lives in Three Mile Island's emergency planning zone, and if they know when they're doing the siren test this year. the last two years, they've done it on June 29th. I don't know if they will be again this year or how to find out.

We have a system of P-10s and Cyclones, slowly fading out and being replaced by Federal Signal 2001-SRN-Bs. Probably because battery backup on sirens is required by the NRC or something.

If you know anyone that works at TMI, ask them. Or just call TMI up and ask them yourself using 411. Or just do whatever you want.

Ask your local newspaper to do a story.
TMI may be willing to release information to the media but refuse to answer a private inquiry.
Regardless, I would post near a siren to record a test - if they do it at a specific time.
