Here's another 4008 for y'all. This one is labeled siren #9 on the north end of town and is supposed to be going away soon. I figured I'd get a video of it before it morphs into a 2910. Enjoy!

Sometime next year AFAIK. The communications dept approved a replacement of three per year and the ones I heard were next to be replaced are #7, 9, and 10.TheDutchModulator wrote:Looks good, when will it be replaced by a 2910?
As far as I know.TheDutchModulator wrote:What does "AFAIK" mean?
According to the guys with the city I spoke to when I saw this one a few years back (formerly installed by the Gleneagles Country Club off of Park Rd. but had a rotation failure and was replaced by a 2910), the year that was stamped into the compression drivers was 1992. However the quote sheet published by the city for the siren update said they were installed in 1997.siren fan wrote:Do you know about when these were installed?
Is it almost as loud as a p-50? They are rated at 132db which is pretty close.TboltTX1 wrote:Here's another 4008 for y'all. This one is labeled siren #9 on the north end of town and is supposed to be going away soon. I figured I'd get a video of it before it morphs into a 2910. Enjoy!
