There's something odd about this Mod.

Okay, so, as you know, Tyler has 23 Modulators. But, this unit, located near Paluxy and Grande, is different. It looks a lot like a Mod II, but count the cells. There's almost too many. Or am I just crazy?

I counted eight cells, doesn't seem abnormal at all.

Could've sworn I saw ten. Either way, it's the only Mod II in Tyler, and as far as I know, one of the only ones in East Texas.

Yeah it's an 8032B with 8 active cells. It's slimmer compared to the old design. This one replaced an older 4016 that was taken out by an ice storm. Here's a video of it.

There are 9 total cells, 8 active. The very bottom cell is a dummy cell (contains no drivers) to distribute the sound from the cell above it evenly.

That's right, the majority of the other Mods are the smaller 6-cell 6032/48s. Is this one using a UV controller if you know?

When figuring out what type of mod a modulator is, I just count the spaces between the cells. Same with Whelen's.

Same, or I count all the cells and minus one. Don't really bother with model #'s for Mods.

I am trying to figure out which of Tyler's Mods are dual tone. I may be going up to Tyler for their August siren test and I want to see one that is dual tone, not single tone.
