Gainesville T-135 Recording Alert & Attack

Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:38 pm

The city of Gainesville will conduct a siren test tomorrow at 1:30 P.M. (weather permitting....looking promising). I am going to record the T-135 down on I-35 down from my motel.

Anybody know what distance I should be with the recorder?

I think you should record it from inside a car and about 20 yards away

The Gainesville T-135 fired off just as I was about ready to call it quits. Nice siren! However, to my dissapointment it was not near as loud as I had expected. Took a recording, they tested both alert and attack.

Sorry for the talking.

That must be one of the 480VAC ones, it sure has a strong wind-up!
I have pics of that siren I'll upload if anyone wants me to.

Just curious where the Gainesville T-135 is located.
Are you talking about Gainesville Texas?
The only T-135s I have ever seen even around Gainsville
are the one in Lindsay and the one in Sanger.

Yes Gainesville TX.

This T-135 is at 4321 N. Interstate 35. It gives a nice show.
