Palo Alto has a Hedberg, but I don't think they use it anymore.

A 5/4 ratio is a major third interval and a 6/5 ratio is a minor third interval. Two examples of major third sirens are the Model 2T and most Hurricanes. Minor third sirens are more common, and include the 2/3T22, some 500ATs, most Thunderbolt 1000T/1003s, and most sirens made in Britain, Australia, and India.

On a piano, a major third is the interval (space) between five half-steps (Bb,B,C,Db,D), so in this case, your notes are Bb and D. A minor third is the interval between four half steps, so the notes are Bb and Db.

Remember that most of the world operates on a 50 Hz. line frequency, so motors there run slower than in North and Central America or Japan. If you brought a Carters siren over from the UK, it would sound the notes D and F (like a 2T22) rather than Bb and Db.

I live across the street from a dual toned Sterling M10. There isn't any others nearby, possibly none in the rest of the county.

Also, I once drove by that home grown siren that's been talked about recently (at Struble and Hughes Roads).

Just this thing that I've never heard operate. Nobody seems to know the manufacturer, either.

I live about an hour away from a darley and a sterling m-10. Tuscaloosa also has a few penetrators/rm-127's, which may not be rare but theyre the only aca/asc sirens ive seen in alabama.
