I officially declare shenanigans on the 3t22 vid. For a siren that's recorded from the outside, doesn't it strike you as odd that you can hear the activator click as the siren starts up? One would have to be right next to the controls, i.e. *inside* the stationhouse in most cases for that.

Plus, the siren is too loud given its distance from the camera.

There is definitely something fishy about that vid. For one thing, why is the 3T22 still hi-lo-ing at wind-down?

Two more observations.

The birds zooming away from the siren must have a psychic sense, since they do so half a second before wind-up.

Secondly, there are just too many things wrong for this to be an accurate sounding 3t22:

1. The shifting tones/resultants just don't sound right given the recording distance and volume.

2. AS the previous poster mentioned, the damper/solenoid mechanism is supposed to shut off at coastdown, which in this recording does so three-quarters of the way down (???).

3. Is it normal to hear solenoid clicks when recording a 3t22 from the distance as heard?

Well i for one don't think it?s a fake. I do rembar a 3t22 doing hi-lo while winding down. Second you can hear that click in other 3t22s when doing hi lo (if you listen to it the Hilo dose turn off), the birds fly away cause they have hearing about 90% better then a human, and probly felt and heard the siren start to spin and felt the motor struggle to get the rotors spinning. And if you bother to know any thing about 3t22s they tend to always have one solenoid dead or stuck.

Maybe the video of the 3T22 has its video and audio out of sync.
