I believe they did. I believe they also had other port ratios but I am not certain. The slow wind-up was probably due to the motor turning the rotor and the gear reducer to rotate the assembly.

Hmm...I had better look up the 500T for some 500 knowledge...

Very nice! All right! Now I don't have to wait till the beginning of June to see one in action. Now I don't have to record an SD-10, hmm... It's Modulator recording time for me now.

I was thinking that they use the same rotor+motor for the 500T, and that the motor lag on the 500T came from driving the rotational mechanism. Then again, the SD-10 manual says if the siren is tilted more than 10 degrees off a perpendicular line with the ground, the motor wouldn't get proper lubrication. So assuming that being said, maybe not the same motor, but same port ratio 12/9. Sorry, wild guesses here :? :?:

Apt description! That raspy sound is the Resultant created by the two tones a fourth apart. C4 + F4 = F2, two octaves below the higher tone.

Dude! I see that siren all the time! I probably live about 10 minutes away from it! Great vids also.
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI

Thanks Konky, atlhough the Newtown vid is a little foggy for my taste....I think the lens my have been dirty. May redo it down the road.

Clayton was surprised that it got stuck in attack....wasn't supposed to run that long.

You'd have to ask him, but I saw quite a variety. Aside from what was in view in the video, I recall a couple of T-Bolts, a Sentry of some kind, a Hurricane, a bunch of different big rotors, and then the RM-127s that he builds. I'm sure there are more I didnt see.
