My Federal Signal 2001:DC (Squareback) *New pics page 2*

Mon Oct 14, 2013 3:49 am

Hey everyone! I have been thinning out the siren fleet lately, but I could not pass on this Federal Signal 2001:DC. It is complete with controls, transformer, battery box, and pole mounts. I also grabbed a three phase Model 7 while I was there. Between the controls and the Model 7, my Yukon Denali was JAM PACKED behind the front seats! I transported the 2001 on my modified boat trailer, and got everything home safe and sound with no issues. I will post more pics when I get the Denali unloaded in the next few days, but I did manage to get the 2001 off the trailer tonight (by myself, might I add...lol  ).

I am going to keep the 2001 for myself, but the Model 7 MIGHT be going on the market soon. We'll see. Stay tuned for more pics to come!

Thanks bro!!! I'm super excited for this one! I will definitely post plenty of pics of it when I dig in. I don't think I've ever seen the guts of a 2001 before so this is most exciting.

Now you must update your signature... and you MUST run the 2001...that'll be a first like me running my t-128 in the garage.

I think a number of parts in there you'll find oddly familiar...

Congrats dude!

Ohhhh yes yes yes...I forgot the signature update!! Haha. I'm going to figure everything out here very soon. Can't wait to growl the beast!! I got the 2001 DC manual so I'm set as far as wiring goes. I did peek inside one rotator panel and it's very "Thunderbolt-ish" in there! :)

I'll update my signature now.

Thanks!

Take it all apart and its a T-bolt with no horn or chopper motor the rest of the chopper tube, and rotator stuff is the same....Federal's not THAT creative yet.

LOL. Yeah, looking at the manual, there are so many similarities between the two it's crazy.

Wow that's really nice. 2001 looks to be in great shape, how far did you have to go for it?

Awesome Sirens, looks like they are both in real good condition!!! Is the Model 7 three or single phase?

Where did those come from? Glad you got an older 2001!
