I recorded the one on the media page. For years, the siren would sound ok some times, and sick the other times, with a slow windup. It was when I joined the fire dept, that I realized the siren was three phase being powered by an extremely old static phase converter. The converter actually blew up and caught fire a couple of years ago, and the siren scrapped (a 3v8 was put in it's place).pyramid head wrote:I wanted to listen to a recording of one on the media page, but the link is broken. Does anybody know the general weight? I looked in one of the catelogs, and the number I saw was 240?
Adam Pollak recorded that. Its a Fedelcode 5 on 110v.holler wrote:Here is a recording of a Model 3, or a sick Model 5.

Congratulations! Someone else now has their own siren. Send some pictures when it is finally in your possession. I hope to get a siren one day also. I think a good start for me would be a Federal Model 2, as it is simple, not too heavy(Weighs a little more than a Hunter Original Cast Iron Ceiling Fan), and does not take up much space. It would look good for decoration in my living room!(live in an apartment)pyramid head wrote:I DID IT!!!! He said for $100 it is mine! He just has to talk to one more comissioner about legal stuff first.
