Must be a slow day in Texas where they do a live clip on the sirens going off, haha.

Good clip though.

"That brings us up to date on the story we've been covering all morning long."
Are they serious? They've been standing out there waiting for an electronic noise? Maybe I would stand there if it was electromechanical, but I wouldn't do it to hear a tone. Well, at least it sounds better than the clips on Federal Signal's site... those are hideous.

Plus, we salute the reporter for letting us siren buffs hear the thing uninterrupted by ranting on about why it's there. (Don't you hate it when you can barely hear the siren and they're yelling about why it was installed as if it was right next to them?)

I also like how they were even more kind to us siren fanatics by getting closeup shots of the siren so we can identify it.

The DSA sirens are very decent sirens, and sound very good. The zooming out of the camera while the test is still in effect shows you just as to how loud a DSA siren can be when over a hundred feet away from you.

I applaud them for at least making an attempt to get some kind of outdoor warning. That kind of siren would not have been my first pick, but any siren is better than no siren!

They ought to make rotating DSAs.
