Nashville, TN News Video About New Sirens

Sat Apr 21, 2012 5:21 pm

I found this today on our local station and I am not sure why this city is so slow about getting the new siren system in place when they city and the citizens are complaining about the "old sirens" aka ATI's. See video below:

Like how the audio doesn't match the siren in the video.

Apparently City Council will be voting on the $ 2 million siren system upgrade. I am trying to right now to find out from the reporter that did this story who I (or we) can contact with in the city to write some convincing emails or letters to get rid of these garbage ATI's once and for all!

Sounds lilke they dubbed in a T-128. Perhaps Nashville shall receive the T-128's? One could hope. :)

Seems like for now, an older refurbished mechanical siren with upgraded controls would be a good intermittent solution until the city gets it's grant. And much cheaper too.I don't know why all these burgs insist on having brand new state of the art stuff for these areas instead when the need could be met with older equipment in the meantime..........

Sounds like merely a stock air raid siren recording to me. Probably an old Model 2.
A resident of arguably the most siren-diverse county in history.

Where did they get the siren sound?

The Nashville ATIs certainly don't sound that good!
