There are 2 sirens in this video

Wed May 24, 2006 7:25 am

The first is obviously a Whelen due to the cut out on wind down. But after that you can hear another siren fully winding down. I don't know what siren it is, but it sounds Very Carter like!
Any ideas?

Either a 3T22 or 2T22, or a Modulator model. Most likely a Modulator, to me.

This video was actually brought up in the old board and it was determined that it's one of Tulsa's dual toned Whelen 3016s. Also, as far as I know there aren't any Mods around Tulsa.

what you're hearing is a 2805 with most likely a dual toned 3016 in the background. I'm 100% certain the dominant siren you hear is a 2805 because someone I know went down there to check it out and saw it.

The one you hear do a full wind down has to be a xT22. I know that sound anywhere. (lives near one that sounds every day)

That siren you can hear just at the end is most definitely a real 2T22 winding down. There aren't any electronics that sound just like that, as far as I know.

I can assure you that the dual tone you are hearing is a Whelen WPS-4000.

It is located about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from the location in the video at Wilson middle school. I have sat directly across the street from it several times and heard it. There are no mechnical sirens in the city of Tulsa.

There are several dual toned Whelens across the city, some have recently been change from single to dual tone.
