On behalf of Mr. Jones (MUSTANGV8), I am posting the pictures that he took of the SD-10 that he and Mr. Werden installed this past Wednesday in Peirce Township (Cleremont County, Ohio).

Here are the pictures:

Didn't someone mention earlier in this topic that Sands Montessori was supposed to be having things done to the school? There was a Thunderbolt there, but I'm not sure if that one ever came down.
I was the one who mentioned Sands. I don't think the siren will come down until they tear down the old building on which it sits. Seeing as they are working very quickly on the new building, I would say that the old school may be torn down over this coming summer.

Also, has anyone taken pictures of the Thunderbolt atop the Hudepohl Brewery?

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot! I drove past Tom Rechtin Heating & Cooling the other day and saw that the STH-10 there is now gone. I didn't see any other siren in its place.

Great pictures!

Glad to see that the township is installing a system of classics that have some character rather than a bunch of 2001-130's :)
So at this point Pierce Township has (2) 1000T's and the (1) SD-10, correct?

1. I don't think so. Did you know it's been decomissioned for over 20 years?

2. Where is that? We never knew there was an STH-10 there. Is it outside Hamilton County?

Well, I stopped at the city's maintenance yard on Central Parkway today to see if any of the Thunderbolts are still there, and it appears that there's still one sitting there. I don't know what happened with the other two.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

I think that STH-10 was in Campbell County KY just after you cross I-471 into Kentucky.Unless Tom Rechtin heating and cooling has moved. I just saw the Schoenling Brewery Tbolt about two weeks ago. I was at the Bengals vs. Lions game at Paul Brown Stadium. You have a birds eye view of it from the top of the west deck of the stadium. I did'nt have my camera though. :(

Yes, it's that STH-10.

And no, I didn't know that that Thunderbolt had been decommissioned.

The brewry closed in 1987, and the power in the building has been turned off since then, so that's why it's decomissioned. If the power was still running, the Thunderbolt may still be operating, and apparently, that's not the case.

Lockland Thunderbolt

Mon Jan 11, 2010 4:41 am

Does anybody know if the Thunderbolt in Lockland that is viewable from I-75 is still in operation? On my way to my Uncle's tonight (who lives in Monroe) I drove past it and was wondering if it was still operational. If no one knows, I will try emailing Clayton Werden and see if they know.
