Well, I found this video where some firefigher activated there siren by pressing the Button

we have that at my firehall. as long as the button is pressed, power will be sent to the siren

Is it a less modern version of the AR/AF Timer?

No, that looks like one of the newer timers that Jmarcoz sells. What is not shown in the video is a safety button that must be pressed in before the siren will start. This prevents someone from accidentally hitting the button and setting it off.

The AR/AF isn't modern by any means, they are not being made anymore.

I never said modern, I said less modern, pertaining to the fact that the most modern version is the most recently released (and discontinued) version of it, and comparing it to the one used here...
