Thanks Dave- I was told long time ago that it still works, just have to connect the wires. I posted a pic with the desc and date on the paper work, but it didn't list a model# there, and on the plates of motor and housing under "type" nothing was stamped in. I wish I could remember how the motor connects to the housing. I vaguely remember a three legged mounting base and a collar that the dome rested on (maybe?) that I've been looking for, but I think they were scrapped yrs ago.

Whats the link to the recording? That looks to small to be model 2 sized... But I'd be willing to bet money on that being a Darley model 1 though.
I can't put it on Youtube until I can figure out why my computer won't play the sound.

I know of only one Champion in Stanton Michigan. Or at least I think that is what it is. It is in the Fire Dept's tower. It still runs and has a very erie tone. I'll try to get some pics and possibley video but I don't go there very often.
