I don't get why this topic is for random sirens.
what that i've read, to me, doesn't seem random at all.
Random to me is finding a 2001-130, then a WPS-3016, then an Eclipse, then a T-128, then a 2T22 all in one cities limits.
And(at least around here) finding a siren with another manufactures controls on the same pole is just odd, not random.

Also, it also depends on when the siren was installed, cause the person in charge at the time, maybe not the same person several years down the road when another new siren is installed.
And budgets are not the same either.

How do you explain a T-128 in a county full of Federal Signal sirens, only 9 1/2 blocks from a 2001?

Or a Sentry 3V8 in a county that is full of ACA/ASC and Federal Signal?

I would explain it as they needed a siren to replace one, and the ones they are currently using are on backorder (which happens) and the adapted the controls to work the new siren, cause they didn't want to wait for the same brand,

They could have bidded on the sirens. Shawnee County has two bidders bidding to replace 5 sirens, Whelen and FS. If Whelen wins, we will most likely have a system of FS and Whelen.

We've got a lone ACA Penetrator here in Cincy.
If your siren is a-failin'
Chances are that it's a Whelen
And if it's just about to die
Then it must be an ATI

Here in Dickson, TN we have a Sentry 16V1T-B all to itself in Industrial Park, then two Model 5's, one at a VFD in Burns and one on a water tower over in White Bluff.

There are several Penetrators in Cincinnati - they're all on the west side of town in Delhi, Miami and Whitewater townships.
