Cincinnati Area Sirens With high pitched Tbolt 1000

Thu Feb 12, 2009 7:01 am

This was todays siren system activation :D for a severe thunderstorm warning while under a tornado watch. I believe the Tbolt 1000T that failed in the video was due to a power outage in that area. Sorry ,but I was only able to get about 3 minutes of the 5 minute alert signal. They went off while I was driving home.:x Enjoy.

Sounds like they got the rotator fixed on the 1000, but now it sounds like the White Oak 1000T's rotator is broken.

I drove by this morning to check. The horn was pointing northwest. It was facing south after Wednesdays test. It usually sounds loud like that because it's almost sitting right behind the house and the rotator spins at 8rpm. Although the wind was blowing pretty hard yesterday and it could have been slipping from the windload or it could have failed in the middle of the run. I'll check into it.

The rotator on the White Oak 1000T is slipping and in need of a belt. :(
