Well one thing is true it definantly is alot better than an ATI. Think this is a hitachi siren? becasue maby they use their sirens for different purposes like whelens for tornado and also fire departments ect.

That is the most unobtrusive and polite siren test I have ever heard. That is definitely the Hitachi siren in action: makes me want to go back to Japan more than ever right now.

On a side note, in Japan, music is THE auditory notification of choice, not a shrill tone: for example, while getting on a train, a 10 second musical chairs-like song played before a polite announcement warned of the doors closing.

If they are going to play French hits from the 60's, they should use "Siffler Sur la Colline" instead (whistle on the hill).
